Clinical study on the Sequelae of CO Poisoning


Abstract
The author studied 33 cases of 57 co Poisoning sequelae inpatients who had been treated at the department of neuropsychiatry, Seoul National University Hospital, from 1958 to 1976 on their clinical symptoms. Following is the summery of results:
1) In sex distribution, females were slightly more frequent than males without significance. In age distribution, sequelaes were predominant in aged.
2) Most of the patients were comare within 24 hours.
3) While 6 patients had no lucid interval, 27 patients had lucid interval of which most were about 3 weeks.
4) The neurological symptoms seemed related to the age of patient and duration of coma but no relation with lucid interval.
5) Common sequelae symptoms were brain syndrome sarhas parkinsonism and others
